January 2007

Royal College of Nurses: The RCN have confirmed that ATS Conference Services will be managing the voting and microphone queing required at Congress in April. This application gives members access to voting via PIN code, thereby affirming their voting rights for Congress Sessions. The microphone queue facility uses the current “Fastest finger” application, which allows delegates to be identified in time order.

ATS Conference Services expand: The team has grown steadily since 2003 when the core team was just 2, to a much larger team of 11 – so we thought a picture was in order. The first sunny day of 2007 was earmarked as a good photo opportunity, but we had to delay due to a last minute show, so this is the Team, under cover, on a rainy day!

Rounding up 2006

Last year was a blast and ATS Conference Services exceeded all expectations once the word had got around that we had invested in our own equipment!

Getting around: By the end of last year we ran voting sessions from as little as 20 to as many 1,100 keypads. Our technicians have travelled around the world to complete jobs in over 15 countries including France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Cyprus, Austria, Czech Republic, USA and Taiwan.

One of the highlights from last year was our Multi-site event in November – One of our clients wanted a multi-site event across Europe in Munich, Milan, Madrid, and London. Votes were simultaneously collected from each site and displayed as an international total, with geographical information stored for later analysis.  Local results were instantly displayed at each location for another aspect of the show. This was achieved using networking technologies developed by our in-house team.
